The Mystic Masters Series: These brightly colored paintings share the universal truth that all of this amazing power is given specifically to individuals directly from God Himself. They testify that He has done so since before man as in the old Jewish tale of Adam’s first wife and tell us we will see it rampant again in the days of Biblical Revelation. Those amazing gifts and mystic talents will surround us until the end of days. This series reminds us that all religions can provide enlightenment and mystical even supernatural gifts. Given to those who earnestly seek the truth, and then fall in love with it when they find it. The same God you love is showing up in other cultures in a fashion they understand. He gives power as He sees fit and He loves us individually with wonders that astound unbelieving onlookers. We like that the superheroes we all know and love in American culture are closely fashioned to the mystic masters. While in reality like Cupertino we see that sometimes the gifts we receive are too amazing for others to accept at the time. Later on, we see how quickly others cleave to God’s oddities amongst us as assurance that God still works with us. Many of these people endured horrible events and losses, some felt trauma. Not all were Christian but they each sought God with everything they had. We know the Bible tells us all power is from the one true God. We know He even loans power to the fallen angles where free will is concerned. Devotion and faith are paramount in healing and we see that here. Some of the mystics even developed what we think of as eating disorders as a result. What happened was amazing grace with mystical outcomes on masterful devotion. The playful trading card presentation of the Mystic Masters reminds me of a simpler time and adds to the idea that we are all from the same colorful deck of cards. All of us are drastically different and yet divinely the same.
